He will remain on the ballot for the Lake Villa Public Library District board. “I'm disappointed that this was an oversight on my part,” he said.

The top-selling fruit in the third quarter of 2012 was berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and currants), which brought in an average of $3,755 each week to grocery stores.

    Mutual UFO Network to host symposium at Starved Rock Oct 30, 2012 12:00 AM
    Jen Janik's third-graders at Big Hollow Elementary School in Ingleside asked, "Have there been any sightings of aliens in this area?" Some say the possibilities are endless. The Mutual UFO Network sends investigators out to explore possible UFO sightings, most recently in Wisconsin. The group will host its symposium at Starved Rock State Park.

    With help from a $250,000 state grant, an asphalt bike path is planned for a four-mile stretch of Grand Avenue from Munn Road to Deep Lake Road — a project Lindenhurst residents have labeled as a number-one priority. It will link Engle Memorial Park to the Lake Villa District Library and received the priority designation in 2008.
