    The Chicago Symphony Orchestra is searching for a permanent outdoor venue in DuPage County where it can perform summer concerts. Encouraged by the success of its performances last year at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, county officials say, the CSO has narrowed its list to four potential sites. But two of those sites are on land owned by the DuPage Forest Preserve District and that will pose legal problems for those hoping to build an outdoor concert venue here.

DuPage County Forest Preserve commissioners on Tuesday agreed to hire On Eagle’s Wings Equine Center in Kirkland to retrain eight of Danada’s 16 lesson horses before the riding program at the district-owned center resumes in May.

    A developer who wants to build a multisports complex in Darien won’t receive land for the project from the DuPage County Forest Preserve District. Forest preserve President D. “Dewey” Pierotti Jr. said he is going to notify Darien that the district doesn’t want property it owns between Lemont and Oldfield roads transferred to developer Sam Zagorac. Pierotti already has drafted a letter that he plans to send soon to Darien Mayor Kathleen Weaver.
