"Pours With a Purpose" will be Thursday, Oct. 12, at Boulder Ridge Country Club in Lake in the Hills. Guests will experience a social event that supports breast cancer awareness and prevention. Guests will taste chef-inspired food and wine pairings as they mix and mingle with Centegra physicians and providers.

College of DuPage student Umair Khan of Darien reads and copies the U.S. Constitution as part of the College's observance of Constitution Day. "The Constitution: 230 Years Later" invited participants to examine the text of the Constitution and rewrite its words by hand to strengthen the learning process. COD's Constitution Day observance also included a reenactment of the federalist and anti-federalists debates by Political Science Professor David Goldberg, Political Science Assistant Professor Melissa Mouritsen and Criminal Justice Assistant Professor Tauya Johnson. Just last week, the Federal Trade Commission announced that it would be ending its investigation into whether or not Amazon¹s takeover of Whole Foods would be in violation of antitrust laws and would hurt competition.
COD Hosts Free Block Kids Competition Oct. 28

College of DuPage will host a free Block Kids competition from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct, 28, on the College's Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd. While participation in the competition is limited to the first 50 registrants, this event is free and open to the public.
