Batavia dance team gives back at Kane County Relay For Life

Batavia's varsity and junior varsity dance teams gave back in support of the American Cancer Society by walking in the 2019 Kane County Relay For Life on Friday, June 21, at Northwestern Medicine Field in Geneva.

The teams raised more than $4,000 this year, earning Silver status as the seventh highest out of 28 fundraising teams.

During the event, the team cheered on survivors and caregivers, performed an inspired routine to Rachel Platten's "Fight Song" and participated in the event's lip-syncing contest.

This is the 12th year of participation in the event for the Batavia High School dancers and is among its many philanthropic activities conducted throughout the year.
