Elmhurst preparing for Art in Wilder Park

More than 125 artists will display their original creations next month at Elmhurst's 22nd annual Art in Wilder Park event.

The show, which runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 5-6, will feature artists displaying one-of-a-kind works in jewelry, glass, ceramics, painting, wood, photography, sculpture, paper, and mixed media.

The celebration also includes an area where kids can try their hand at art, a food court and an entertainment stage featuring Broken Halos and School of Rock.

The Wilder Mansion at 175 S. Prospect Ave., will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for coffee, pastries and boxed lunches, with music provided by acoustic musician Scottie Long from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days.

The event is produced by RGL Marketing for the Arts, Inc., and sponsored by the Elmhurst Park District.
