Field Elementary School raises funds at McTeacher's Night in Wheeling

Eugene Field Elementary School held their second annual McTeacher's Night Fundraiser at the Wheeling McDonald's on Lake Cook Road. A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales back to the local school. What an amazing night for Eugene Field School!

On Tuesday, February 27th, the restaurant was taken over by fourteen teachers and administrative staff excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families. Teachers also handed out orders, cleaned tables, made ice cream treats, served drinks, and dressed up in a Pie costume. 2nd-grade teacher Elizabeth Reyes and LMC teacher Julie Radetski were dressed in the Pie outfit and what a blast they had mingling with all the families and taking pictures. Principal Luis Bonilla was also in attendance and enjoyed the evening.

The Field Elementary teachers worked hard selling delicious apple pies all night and had a blast. The funds earned from the Pie sales will go directly to support PTO at Field Elementary. The PTO plans to use the funds for whole school assemblies, field trips and Field Day.

A special thank you goes to Kathy Fielding, Field PTO member, who organized the event as well as everyone who worked and attended.
