Prairie Center Arts Foundation launches Giving Tuesday Campaign

The holiday season is a time to celebrate generosity. Help enrich lives by donating to the Prairie Center Arts Foundation (PCAF) on "Giving Tuesday" on November 27, 2018.

The milestones of the holiday shopping season are Black Friday and Cyber Monday; Giving Tuesday is a chance to donate to an organization that enhances your quality of life while encouraging others to donate with you. This November 27th, join the global movement and give to the Prairie Center Arts Foundation.

The Prairie Center Arts Foundation (PCAF) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the growth and excellence of cultural arts in the community. Your donation helps fund programs such as the Season of Entertainment at the Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts, Prairie Center Youth Programs (including Schaumburg Youth Orchestra, Schaumburg Choir and Schaumburg Dance Ensemble and more), and Theatre Buddies & Arts Partners, outreach programs that provide access to the performing arts to people in need in our community.

"Memories are magic. Some of the most magical are those that conjure happy moments from our childhood. To a local family in crisis, for example, attending a performance like the Nutcracker ballet at the Prairie Center can provide much needed respite from their cares and worries," said Theresa Olvera, Executive Director of the PCAF. "A donation to the Prairie Center Arts Foundation can bring people to experience the arts who may otherwise never have such an opportunity."

The foundation makes donating easy and convenient; visit the website for ways you can donate, including planned giving or stock transfers.

The arts enhance our quality of life in many ways because of their ability to entertain, educate, strengthen the community and inspire. The Prairie Center Arts Foundation is able to support these efforts, in part, through generous donations from the public and corporations. Donations to the Prairie Center Arts Foundation may be made via the web site, www.pcafoundation.org or by calling (847) 923-3608.
