Girls' Night Out helps Palatine Township Senior Center

Ladies arrived at Durty Nellie's ready for fun and pampering at the 12th annual Girls' Night Out fundraising event benefiting the Palatine Township Senior Center.

More than 180 girlfriends, colleagues, mothers and daughters enjoyed food and drinks.

Much fun was had at the photo booth provided by iStar Photo Booth, music was played by Loren Freeman with Event Mobile Sound and the gals enjoyed appetizers provided by Durty Nellie's.

The free pampering stations were a huge hit. Chair massages by Castle Chiropractic, lip pampering by Janie Askin, an independent SeneGence distributor, and hair styling by Salon MMM.

Twenty-three women won a raffle basket, varying from salon services, to theater tickets, purses, restaurants, specialty items, events, and more.

The "Cork Pull" was once again very popular as 54 bottles of wine were sold out in a matter of minutes. Some of the winners even received a gift certificate or piece of jewelry on their bottle.

The "Candy Bar" table was the newest addition to the evening, as guests could fill a box with theme colored candy displayed in glassware. The ladies received gifts at the Party Favor Bar, provided by the event's Platinum sponsors, upon departure.

"The event was an evening full of fun among friends, family and colleagues as they enjoyed music, food, drinks, photos and pampering stations, all while supporting the Senior Center and its very important programs," said Carol Reagan, executive director at Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council.
