Batavia club to begin coat drive this fall

Join the Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation and help those in need in the community with donations of new or clean, gently-used winter items.

The coat drive will run Oct. 16-27.

They will be accepting coats, snow pants, snow suits, hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, and boots in good condition. Items are needed in sizes from infant to adult.

Drop-off bins will be located at all Batavia elementary schools, Rotolo Middle School, Batavia High School, Immanuel Lutheran School, Batavia Public Library, Batavia Park District's Civic Center, Meadow View Veterinary Clinic, Batavia Nursery School, and Hanson Family Chiropractic.

All items are donated to local charities and shelters. Email to philanthropic@bataviamothersclub.org with questions.

The Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation is a nonprofit organization, founded in 1934, dedicated to improving the quality of life for children in the Fox Valley area. Each year, the club donates $20,000-$50,000 to local charities, including the CHIP-In Batavia and CASA Kane County, whose activities support this mission. The Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation is open to all mothers in the area who are interested in local philanthropic, service, and community activities.
