Sample local food at Taste of the Towns

The Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce will host an afternoon of food and drink samplings, along with live music and children's activities, at its annual Taste of the Towns festival from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, in Paulus Park, 200 S. Rand Road, Lake Zurich.

Taste Menus can be purchased for $40 in advance or $55 at the event, while supplies last (only 500 Taste Menus will be sold).

Each menu includes admission for one person and one serving from each of the vendors present. Taste Menus can be shared; entry is $2 for anyone older than 21 without their own Taste Menu. Individual tasting tickets can also be purchased for $3 each.

Twenty-eight vendors are expected to be on hand. Most vendors will offer taste-size servings for one ticket and full servings for two tickets. Taste Menus entitle the holder to one taste-size serving per vendor, and can be combined with a ticket for a full serving.

Vendors scheduled to attend include: BBQ'd Productions, Beelow's Steakhouse, BeerAbility, Bellalukes, Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano, Bobbers Lake Zurich, Buddy's Special Events, Buffalo Creek Brewing, California Pizza Kitchen, Chasers Sports Bar & Grill, Copper Fiddle, Culver's of Lake Zurich, Franco's Pescheria, Jersey Mike's, La Malinche Bar & Grill, Lou Malnati's, Morkes Chocolates, My Flavor It!
