August Artist of the Month

The Barrington Cultural Arts Center (BCAC) will feature the paintings of Jeani Allaway at the BCAC Gallery at the Ice House Mall during the month of August.

Jeani's world has always been centered around the arts in one way or another. She was trained in the field of Interior design which she successfully practiced in Oak Park and Barrington. The design industry is fascinating and allowed her to work in Office design and Home design. 30 years of many residences and offices gave her the creative juices that kept her focused on her client's needs with new design ideas personalizing their projects and dreams.

Jeani decided to challenge herself by taking drawing and watercolor classes with no idea of how that process would bring her to where she is today. That was 7 years ago and here she is now drawing and painting dogs by commission as well as learning oil painting. She loves both mediums as they provide her with different techniques and a totally different result.

Life is a learning process, so Jeani is grateful to be able to enjoy this time in her life and to share her paintings with others.
