North Shore Senior Center's Men's Club to Feature Author Kenneth N. Green speaking on I'm From Division Street on August 15

The North Shore Senior Center's Men's Club will present a program featuring Kenneth N. Green at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15. He will speak on his book, I'm From Division Street, which will be for sale. There is no charge to attend. The North Shore Senior Center is located at 161 Northfield Rd., Northfield, IL 60093. I'm From Division Street tells Ken's comeback story of growing up in Chicago's Humboldt Park area where he faced poverty, antisemitism, and academic problems. His book describes his rebound of professional and personal success and provides a nostalgic trip to the Humboldt Park neighborhood where Mr. Green grew up. I'm From Division Street also profiles famous and successful Jewish people who had their roots in the neighborhood.

Ken is a defense attorney and retired Bureau Chief of Public Defenders in Los Angeles County. He is boxer inducted into the California Boxing Hall of Fame and serves as its legal counsel. Ken was also Adjunct Professor at UCLA, and became a reserve police officer at the age of 68. He has residences in the Los Angeles, CA area and in Chicago.
