Join Flat Apple activities at Lombard Cruise Night

Kids in preschool through high school are invited to visit the Lombard Cruise Night Kids Corner area from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 29, near St. Charles Road and Main Street in downtown Lombard.

Participants can earn Flat Apple raffle tickets for prizes such as a mini-iPad, a bike, Beat headphones and gift cards. Participants do not have to be residents of Lombard but do need to register.

Registration can be done online at healthylombard.com/flat-apple-2017/ or in person at the event.

Flat Apple is the name given to the Healthy Lombard Foundation's summer program designed to keep kids active during the months when school is not in session.

At the Kids Corner, Healthy Lombard, DuPage Healthcare Ltd., will provide several Flat Apple activities such as a Hula-Hoop challenge, horseshoes and a spine health/education "Spine Toss." In addition to earning raffle tickets for Healthy Lombard's Flat Apple contests, there also will be giveaways.

The raffle drawing will be held at the August Healthy Lombard partner board meeting. Winners will be notified by email or phone and their first names will be posted on the Flat Apple 2017 page of the Healthy Lombard website.

If the ticket belongs to a child who is not registered, they cannot win and the prize will go to a child that is registered.
