Syed Hasan Named General Manager of Naperville's Hotel Indigo

Marquette Companies is pleased to announce the appointment of Syed E. Hasan as General Manager of the Hotel Indigo Naperville Riverwalk at Downtown Naperville's Water Street. The 158-room boutique hotel is perfectly aligned with Hasan's hospitality career and experience in the upper upscale and luxury market.

Hasan is an accomplished hotelier with over 25 years of lodging and hospitality management experience with global companies like Hilton Worldwide and Host Hotels and Resorts. He has served in several executive management capacities of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing and operations in Chicago, Miami and Atlanta. He has been recognized numerous times for his leadership and financial performance and has won the coveted GM of the Year Award twice along with several other awards for revenue management, operational effectiveness, community service, corporate communication and customer care.

Hassan graduated from the Pakistan Air Force Inter-College, Peshawar and then studied Aerospace Engineering at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA. He has served for three years on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association and was on the Governmental and Legislative Affairs Committee. He also served on two committees at the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association and has worked with the Ronald McDonald House at Lurie Children's Hospital.

As the hotel manager at the world-famous Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach, Florida, Hasan was responsible for the iconic 20-acre, seaside resort with its twelve restaurants and bars, luxury amenities and an ultra-high-end retail complex, and also managed the historic 275-room, life-style Normandy Building. In 2015, Hasan worked for a year with the development company Superhost Enterprise and helped them successfully open and launch the Embassy Suites by Hilton at Freedom Plaza in Naperville.

Hasan and his wife Allison and their three young children have been residents of Naperville for twelve years and they love this community. "I've watched the Hotel Indigo being built over the past three years with great admiration," he says. "There was something very special about the Water Street Development. I am blessed and honored to have been given an opportunity to represent InterContinental Hotels Group and lead the wonderful team at Hotel Indigo as it starts its assent."
