Celebrate Fox Lake July 1 as it turns 110

This year's Celebrate Fox Lake festival will commemorate the 110th anniversary of the village of Fox Lake. The event takes place Saturday, July 1.

Festivities start with a parade that steps off at 2 p.m. from Grant High School and ends at the Towne Center Plaza on Rollins Road.

After the parade, the celebration runs from 3-11 p.m. at the Lakefront Park Building, 71 Nippersink Blvd., Fox Lake.

Festivities will include face painting, food vendors, a beer tent, a balloonist, and bouncy equipment. Live entertainment will feature a performance by country band Wild Daisy from 6-9 p.m.

A fireworks display will be held at dusk on the northwest corner of Nippersink Lake, viewable from Lakefront Park.
