'Through the Scope' art exhibit is in Bartlett

Arts in Bartlett is sponsoring the new exhibit "Through the Scope" by Streamwood artist Jade Morem through June 30 at the Bartlett Village Hall 2nd Floor Gallery, 228 Main St., Bartlett.

Gallery hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-noon Saturdays.

There will be an artist reception from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, in the Village Hall Gallery to meet Morem while enjoying refreshments. The reception is free. For information, visit www.artsinbartlett.org.

"Images from science heavily influenced this realistic/abstract gallery," said Morem. "Each piece portrays an abstract style, though fundamentally painted from life. 'Through the Scope' was inspired by a variety of living matter viewed though a microscope.

"I enjoy how this approach allows each viewer to interpret my work differently from their own imagination and life experiences. Utilizing a variety of materials to create my work, I lean in favor of painting, as you will see in the oil, water and acrylic mediums used for this gallery," said Morem.

Morem has art on consignment in Chicago and Elmhurst, on display in Bartlett, as well as a consistent online presence. Visit her on social media @jubajade or stay in touch at GreenJadeDesign@gmail.com.
