Collins sixth graders bring ancient civilizations to life

Collins sixth grade students recently traveled around the ancient world without ever leaving their school. The students had worked on projects illustrating aspects of ancient civilizations, and on May 22 they took turns presenting them to their classmates and other visitors in classrooms that had been transformed into ancient China, India, Greece and Rome. The booths covered a variety of topics including art, dance, inventions, architecture, clothing and food. One group staged a play in a room that had been transformed into an ancient Roman amphitheater.
