McFun for Trinity Lutheran School at Roselle McDonald's

Trinity Lutheran School in Roselle held their second annual McTeacher's Night at the Roselle McDonald's on Irving Park Road on Wednesday, May 17th. A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales to the local school.

On Wednesday, the restaurant was taken over by teachers excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families to raise money for Trinity Lutheran School. The students and families were excited to see their teachers and principal behind the counter and throughout the restaurant.

Twenty-four teachers and staff members worked from the school. The McTeacher's jobs included greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, selling pies and even dressing up in a pie costume--all duties which were executed with great enthusiasm.

Trinity Lutheran School teachers/staff Kendra Pena, Amy Herring and Chad Huber had a blast dancing around the restaurant in a pie costume. They were encouraging the families to make a donation and receive a delicious hot apple pie.

A special thank you goes to Trinity Lutheran PTL member Marty Soyke who organized the event as well as everyone that worked and attended the event. Trinity Lutheran teachers worked hard and with excitement, while the families enjoyed a spectacular evening. Trinity Lutheran School plans to use the money raised for special assemblies (anti-bullying and history).

Trinity Lutheran School raised $700.00 at the event. The teachers enjoyed singing the theme song when they received a tip!
