Fox River Grove to host open house for new public works facility

The Village of Fox River Grove is hosting an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at its new public works facility at 1229 Lincoln Ave.

This free, family-friendly event will give residents the opportunity to walk through the new building and check out the inner workings of the public works department.

The event also will include touch-a-truck where kids can touch, explore, and climb aboard the village's plow trucks and other large equipment.

Refreshments will be served.

Construction on the facility began in spring 2016 and was completed in early 2017.

"I want to thank all of our residents, especially those near the new facility, for their patience throughout the project," stated Village President Robert J. Nunamaker. "The new facility has turned out to be a real asset to the public works operation and the community generally."
