May Meeting of the Des Plaines Art Guild and Park Ridge Art League

The next meeting of members from two local art organizations, the Des Plaines Art Guild and Park Ridge Art League, will meet on Tuesday, May 9th at 7:00 pm at Prairie Lakes Community Center, 515 E. Thacker Street, in Des Plaines. The public is invited to attend and refreshments will be served.

The featured artist for the evening is Rhonda Popko, who currently serves as the president of the Des Plaines Art Guild. She will be making paste paper and will encourage members and guests to do a "hands on." Rhonda is a mixed media artist and is always exploring different media and materials, which she applies to a mix of surfaces through painting, printmaking and textiles. Her ideas of creativity have reached hundreds of children and adults over 30 years of teaching in the classroom and through seminars and demonstrations.

New members are always welcome. At the current time, you may become a member of the Des Plaines Art Guild and receive a reciprocal membership in the Park Ridge Art League by downloading a membership form at dpag.org.
