Arlington Heights
• Carlos Avila, 28, of the 1500 block of Silver Lane, Palatine, was arrested around 4:35 p.m. Nov. 17 at Marshalls, 601 E. Palatine Road, and charged with retail theft after he took a pair of boots valued at $77, put them on and walked out. His court date is Jan. 5.
• Burglars broke into a 2000 Ford Expedition in a hotel lot at 1415 W. Dundee Road between 12:30 and 10 a.m. Nov. 18 and stole a men's yellow gold and diamond ring, a women's white gold and diamond ring, cell phone, two cowboy hats, two pairs of cowboy boots, 130 dance tickets, clothes and a purse. Value was estimated at $9,750.
• Thieves stole a boys' black 20-inch BMX bike with white lettering, valued at $200, out of the basement in an apartment building on the 1300 block of West Northwest Highway between 7:30 a.m. Nov. 13 and noon Nov. 14.
• Vandals used black paint to spray graffiti on exterior walls at three business buildings on the 700 block of West Algonquin Road between 4 p.m. Nov. 13 and 7 a.m. Nov. 16.
• Vandals scratched the front driver's-side bumper on a 1999 Ford Taurus in a condominium lot on the 1200 block of South New Wilke Road between 11:30 p.m. Nov. 14 and noon Nov. 15. Damage was estimated at $750.
Bartlett
• Ruben G. Cardenas, 18, of the 1700 block of Penny Lane, Bartlett, was arrested around 12:05 a.m. Nov. 11 at his home and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, minor consumption of alcohol and contributing to the delinquency of a child. His court date is Dec. 8.
• Kristen Hoster, 17, of the 100 block of Amherst Drive, Bartlett, was arrested around 2:05 p.m. Nov. 13 on the 700 block of West Schick Road and charged with local ordinance disorderly conduct. Her court date is Dec. 3.
• Kevin Terry, 31, of the 4000 block of Clubtree Drive, Streamwood, was arrested around 11:55 p.m. Nov. 13 at 125 E. Lake St. and charged with local ordinance retail theft. His court date is Dec. 22.
• Noel Chavez-Hernandez, 19, of the 100 block of Edgewood, Streamwood, and Kenneth Valencia, 19, of the 300 block of Hillside Drive, Streamwood, were arrested around 1:20 a.m. Nov. 14 at Windsor Drive and Stearns Road and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor. Their court date is Dec. 22.
• Burglars stole two cameras, flashgun, lenses and camera bag, value estimated at $2,600, out of an unlocked vehicle on Northgate Drive around 9 p.m. Nov. 12.
• Burglars stole a GPS unit, digital camera and checkbook out of an unlocked vehicle on Paddock Place around 7 a.m. Nov. 13. Value was estimated at $420.
• Burglars stole a GPS unit, driver's license, and money clip out of an unlocked vehicle on Anvil Court around 8 a.m. Nov. 13. Value was estimated at $433.
• Vandals spray painted graffiti on a Amber Grove sign and nearby fence at Spaulding Road and Ivory Lane Nov. 14. Damage was estimated at $300.
• Burglars stole a GPS unit, CD case and contents, and wallet out of an unlocked vehicle on Shorewood Drive around 10 a.m. Nov. 15. Value was estimated at $1,300.
• Thieves stole a cell phone valued at $340 out of an unlocked gym bag at the Bartlett Community Center, 700 S. Bartlett Road, around 6:30 p.m. Nov. 15.
Des Plaines
• Rosa Martinez, 45, of the 1300 block of Highland, Des Plaines, was arrested around 9 a.m. Nov. 17 at Kmart, 1155 E. Oakton St., and charged with retail theft. Reports said she took one DVD and eight CDs worth $107. Her court date is Dec. 15.
• Thieves stole two plastic menu signs valued at $145 from a wall in the Metra depot, 1501 Miner St., between 3 p.m. Nov. 14 and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 16.
•Thieves stole a red BMX bike valued at $150 parked between the double doors at the Prairie Lakes Recreation Center, 515 E. Thacker St., between 7 and 9:30 p.m. Nov. 17.
• Thieves stole eight bottles of cologne valued at $386 from a store at 1378 Miner St. around 1:40 p.m. Nov. 17.
Hanover Park
• Vandals wrote graffiti on a park sign at Farmington and Hartman around 11 a.m. Nov. 16.
• Vandals punctured four tires on a vehicle on the 600 block of Fairhaven around 4 a.m. Nov. 16.
Mount Prospect
• Benjamin E. Carmona, 19, of the 2200 block of South Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights, was arrested around 6:30 p.m. Nov. 17 in an apartment parking lot on the 1700 block of West Forest Cove Drive and charged with unlawful possession of alcoholic liquor. His court date is Dec. 16.
• Burglars stole a purse and laptop computer out of an unlocked 2006 Mercedes SUV between 2:30 and 3:10 p.m. Nov. 16 in a gas station lot at 630 W. Rand Road. Value was estimated at $1,560.
• Thieves broke into a locker in a men's locker room at the Mount Prospect Park District's RexPlex, 420 W. Dempster St., between 4:30 and 5:45 p.m. Nov. 17 and stole a wallet valued at $75.
Schaumburg
• Christopher P. Storino, 21, of the 500 block of Warwick Drive, Naperville, was arrested around 1:10 a.m. Nov. 18 at Algonquin and Meacham roads and charged with a traffic violation and driving under the influence of alcohol. He was also charged with criminal damage to property. Reports said he pulled the sprinkler head off the ceiling of his holding cell at the police department, 1000 W. Schaumburg Road, flooding the cell. His court date is Dec. 11.
• Lance S. Indelwood, 19, of the 1100 block of North Darlington Circle, Hoffman Estates, was arrested around 1:10 a.m. Nov. 17 on the 900 block of Buccaneer Drive and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia (pipe and grinder). His court date is Dec. 3.
• Luis F. Herrera, 19, of the 100 block of North Waters Edge, Glendale Heights, was arrested around 6:50 p.m. Nov. 15 at J.C. Penney in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft. His court date is Jan. 10.
• Anguelina D. Gueorguieva, 54, of the 1900 block of South Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights, and Mariya Y. Manolova, 32, of the 200 block of South Dryden Place, Arlington Heights, were arrested around 6;45 p.m. Nov. 17 at Marshalls, 1488 E. Golf Road, and charged with retail theft. Their court date is Jan. 4.
• Katherine S. Bork, 22, of the 1200 block of East Thacker Street, Des Plaines, was arrested around 7:45 p.m. Nov. 17 at Macy's in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft. Her court date is Dec. 11.
