Kane County

• Thomas M. Cassens, 18, of the 100 block of Jewel Avenue, St. Charles, was arrested at 12:09 a.m. Nov. 11 and charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper lane use during a traffic stop on Fox River Drive, west of Weber Road, in unincorporated St. Charles, police said.

• Anthony R. Harla, 56, of the 800 block of Aster Court, North Aurora, was arrested at 6:07 p.m. Nov. 9 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use after the sport utility vehicle he was driving crashed into a tree at Hart Road and Wing Foot Drive in unincorporated Batavia, police said. Harla was treated for a neck injury at a hospital, where his blood-alcohol concentration was listed at 0.243, police said in an arrest report. No other injuries were reported.

• A 1995 Chrysler Concorde was reported scratched Saturday in an employee parking lot at the Kane County Sheriff's Department, 37W755 Route 38, St. Charles. Damage was estimated at less than $300.

South Elgin

• A $2,300 Tiffany diamond drop pendant was reported stolen between Nov. 1 and Nov. 8 from a home in the 700 block of Thornwood Drive, according to a police report.

Batavia

• Several vehicles were broken into overnight Sunday in the 1000 block of Paramount Parkway, police said. A stereo, speaker, amplifier, laptop computer and a CD were stolen. The first theft was reported at 3:34 a.m., the latest at 8:59 a.m.

• A stereo faceplate was stolen out of a vehicle in the 1200 block of Paramount Parkway, it was reported at 10:58 a.m. Sunday, police said. A window was broken to gain access.

• Someone broke into two vehicles at H&I Decorating, 1125 Paramount Parkway, it was reported at 11:25 a.m. Sunday, police said. A Garmin GPS device, a notebook containing 100 CDs, and a blue dual-tank air compressor were stolen.

• A white oval change purse was stolen out of a vehicle in the 1100 block of Winnebago Trail, it was reported Sunday, according to police.

• A GPS device was stolen out of a vehicle in the 800 block of North Batavia Avenue, it was reported at 2:12 p.m. Friday, police said.

• A man stole a Boost Paygo cellular telephone from a rack at Target, 115 N. Randall Road, it was reported at 7:03 p.m. Friday, police said.

• Four Batavia women were charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, at 11:44 p.m. Friday on Batavia Avenue near Wilson Street, according to a police report. Those charged: Kathryn F. Parisi, 18, of the 900 block of Walnut Street; Margaret C. Crocket, 18, of the 1000 block of Millview Drive; Kathleen M. Hoye, 18, of the 1100 block of Pine Street; and Sarah L. Green, 17, of the 400 block of South Prairie Street.

• Amber L. Sutpin, 20, of the 600 block of Paddock Lane, was charged with illegal consumption and possession of alcohol by a minor at 2:03 a.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Johnstone, according to a police report. She was also charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Several businesses at the same address in the 1400 block of South River Street reported burglaries Saturday morning, police said. A storage container and a truck were broken into at Glen Garis Concrete, it was reported at 7:25 a.m. An inventory of items stolen is not complete. Tools were stolen out of a storage locker at SES Inc., it was reported at 8:32 a.m. And a Stihl concrete saw and a GPS laser were stolen out of a storage trailer at D.W. Well and Pump, it was reported at 9:13 a.m.

• A purse forgotten by a patron was reported stolen at 3 p.m. Monday at Kohl's, 251 N. Randall Road, according to police. It contained a Blackberry device, a Nikon camera, a driver's license, a debit card and a Kohl's charge card.

• Elizabeth A. Sams, 21, of the 0-99 block of West Street, has been charged with retail theft, according to a police report. She is accused of taking a black Candies clutch purse from Kohl's, 251 N. Randall Road, at 4:03 p.m. Monday.

Geneva

• A man trying to steal bottles of shower gel and body lotion pushed a store clerk who noticed what he was doing, at 5 p.m. Nov. 5 at Bath & Body Works, 430 Commons Drive, according to a police report. After the man was spotted, he dropped the bag he was putting items in and walked out of the store.

• Six Brighton bracelets were stolen at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at The Little Traveler, 404 S. Third St., according to police A heavyset woman in her 40s, with long, curly blonde hair, wearing tan clothing, is suspected.

• A spare tire for a 2006 Jeep Commander was stolen between 7 a.m. Oct. 4 and 2:30 p.m. Nov. 8 while the vehicle was in the upper level of the parking garage on South Third Street, police said.

• Someone stole $200 and damaged a door frame at 5:15 p.m. Nov. 8 at Investable Collectibles, 720 E. State St., according to police The door was pried open.

• Someone shot orange paint balls at a house in the 200 block of School Street around 8:15 p.m. Nov. 8, police said.

• Michelle J. Haynes, 17, o the 1700 block of Geneva Road, Wheaton, was charged with retail theft, according to a police report. She is accused of stealing CDs at 12:04 p.m. Nov. 9 from Best Buy, 1876 S. Randall Road.

• An Eddie Bauer money clip wallet and a Coach wristlet purse were stolen between 12:01 and 7 a.m. Nov. 8 out of a house in the 100 block of Country Club Place, according to a police report. Both items were on a kitchen counter. Together the wallet and purse contained cash, traveler's checks, a personal check, drivers licenses and several credit cards.
