Air Force band on tap
The Falconaires, a division of the U.S. Air Force Academy Band, will hold a free performance at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hemmens Cultural Center. The 18-member Falconaires is one of the Air Force's two top jazz ensembles and plays a mix of traditional and contemporary big band jazz. The event is free, but tickets are required. The Delnor Auxiliary has "The Diamond Celebration: A Past to Cherish, A Promise to Fulfill" ball Nov. 14 at the St. Charles Country Club. Tickets are $175 each; black-tie dress is optional.
