The Cary Park District will offer residents the chance to "sneak-a-peek" at the renovated Community Center, 255 Briargate Road, Cary. The open house event will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8.

Visitors may participate in mini classes and demonstrations of piano, drama, dance, yoga and other youth and adult recreational programs, leave their mark on a mural that when completed will be displayed in the Community Center, work their hands and minds in interactive science and art sessions and relax and socialize with light refreshments while watching the Chicago Bears on the big screen.

The Fitness Center will be open all day for visitors to enjoy complimentary workouts on new fitness equipment. Raffles, drawings, and prizes will be awarded throughout the day. The event is free.

The renovation project converted the racquetball courts into spaces that can be used for meetings, parties, and recreational programming rooms. This includes an early childhood room, dance studio, three multipurpose rooms, kitchen, restrooms on the more lower level, and an elevator. The construction is currently in the phase 2 development with the renovation of the lobby, strength training fitness area, and locker rooms. This second phase is expected to be complete by late fall.

For information about the Sneak-A-Peek event or the Community Center renovation, visit carypark.com or call (8470 639-6100.
