Batavia

• A burglar took a custom sound system, a GPS device, shoes, clothing and a digital camera out of a vehicle Tuesday in the 1100 block of Shabbona Trail.

Geneva

• William P. Campbell, 48, of the 0-99 block of Ridge Lane, was ticketed Tuesday for public intoxication, police said. He was found on the floor in the foyer of a building in the 400 block of West State Street.

Kane County

• A traffic signal on the northeast corner of Dunham and Stearns roads in St. Charles Township was reported damaged in an apparent hit-and-run crash Oct. 23. Damage was estimated at $2,500, police said.

• A utility pole owned by ComEd was reported "shot up" Monday at Mighell and Jericho roads in Sugar Grove Township. Police said they found shotgun shells at the scene. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
