A Wheeling man died Saturday after suffering carbon monoxide intoxication while working on his motorcycle inside his garage.

David Molidor, 53, was pronounced dead at 11:30 a.m. after rescue workers were called to the garage in the 600 block of Sutton Court, officials from the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.

Molidor was repairing the bike with the motor running and the garage door down, officials said. A friend who had been trying to reach him went to the home, opened the garage door, and found Molidor dead in the garage.

An autopsy determined Molidor died of carbon monoxide intoxication and inhalation of motorcycle exhaust, according to the medical examiner's office. The death was officially ruled an accident.
