I am writing this letter in protest of all of the red light cameras and, in particular at Gary Avenue and Lake Street in Roselle.

I think these cameras would be a great idea if they were used to catch the people actually blowing the red lights, however I recently received a ticket for being on the white line while turning right on a red. The ticket, which cost me $100, is completely uncalled for. Never in a million years would an actual cop pull you over for stopping on the white line when they do it too, let alone write you a $100 ticket.

I want them to take down the cameras in Roselle. Not only are they dangerous because they cause people to slam on their brakes to avoid another $100 ticket but they are a scam and completely unfair.
