The Chicago Bears signed running back Kahlil Bell to the practice squad Wednesday and terminated the practice squad contract of guard Johan Asiata.

Bell entered the NFL this season as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings out of UCLA. He totaled 1,741 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns on 395 carries (4.4 ypc) in 35 games during his four-year collegiate career with the Bruins (2005-08). The 5-11, 212-pound back also caught 29 passes for 196 yards (6.8 ypc) with a touchdown at UCLA.
