A Hoffman Estates man was charged with dealing heroin and a woman was charged with possession after police executed a search warrant in the early morning hours Saturday.

Christopher Nessel, 22, of the block of 600 West Bode Circle, Hoffman Estates, was charged with possession of controlled substances and intent to deliver, after police reported finding heroin in three plastic bags in his bedroom and 173 pink pills determined to be the painkiller Darvocet, according to Assistant State's Attorney Lesley Gool. Police also confiscated $1,200.

Cook County Judge Thomas Roti ordered Nessel held on a $50,000 bond. Nessel is an Elk Grove High School graduate and an alumnus of Harper Community College in Palatine.

Erin Fletcher, 21, was also held in the raid on Nessel's apartment when police reported finding three small bags of heroin and three Darvocet pills in her purse, authorities said. The Glenbard East High School graduate was given a $2,000 bond on charges of unlawful possession of controlled substances.

Both were scheduled for Sept. 9 court dates.
