Incumbent Deborah Seyller handily defeated Aurora Democrat Ed Nendick in Tuesday's race for Kane County Circuit Clerk.

With all 299 precincts in Kane County and Aurora Township reporting, Seyller, an Elgin Republican, received 99,758 votes to Nendick's 68,6976, according to unofficial results.

Seyller, who did not provide her age, pledged to stay focused on the office's accessibility to the public, customer service and financial conservancy if re-elected.

Nendick, 59, told voters he would make the office "more responsive to taxpayers" and would push for implementing a night court system for better accessibility, among other goals.
