Two Republican incumbents hung onto their seats on the DuPage County Board District 4.

With all 129 precincts reporting, unofficial results show incumbent Debra Olson led the five-way race with 32,618 votes, followed by fellow Republican Grant Eckhoff who tallied 28,855 votes. Democratic candidates Richard Dunn and Dan Bailey followed with 26,933 and 17,200 votes respectively. Green Party candidate William Edgar came in fifth with 4,207 votes.

The 45-year-old Olson was first elected to the board in 2000. She is chairwoman of the board's strategic planning committee.

Eckhoff was elected to the board in 2002. The 49-year-old lawyer from Wheaton is chairman of the board's intergovernmental committee. Both hold seats on a number of other committees.

District 4 includes all or parts of Wheaton, Glendale Heights, Glen Ellyn, Carol Stream and Lombard.
