The Blackhawks swapped forwards with their Rockford American Hockey League affiliate Saturday, recalling Troy Brouwer and sending down Petri Kontiola.

The Hawks need offense, and Brouwer has scored 17 goals at Rockford, including 13 on the power play.

There was hope Martin Havlat and Jason Williams could return from their groin injuries tonight against Detroit, but that's not going to happen.

"They're both about a week away," coach Denis Savard said.

The Hawks will try to end their four-game losing streak against the best team in hockey. The Red Wings are 31-8-3, but they have lost all four times they have faced the Hawks this season.
