After going 2-4 on a homestand against the Blue Jays and Royals, the White Sox are off to Tampa Bay for a quick road trip. The Sox lost 2 of 3 to the Rays at Guaranteed Rate Field in early April. Giolito has the highest ERA (6.26) among qualified major-league starters and he ranks second with 65 walks. Sox second baseman Yoan Moncada was called out on strikes in all 4 at-bats Thursday. His 149 strikeouts for the season are the most in baseball. Tampa Bay has been using relief pitchers as starters, but ace left-hander Blake Snell (shoulder fatigue) is expected to come off the disabled list and take the mound vs. the White Sox Saturday night. The Rays (56-53) completed a three-game home sweep vs. the Angels Thursday and hold down third place in the AL East.
