Baseball: Naperville Central, Metea Valley win
Naperville Central 9, Wheaton North 8:
A 7-run bottom of the fourth inning rallied the Redhawks (13-12, 10-9) to victory in the DuPage Valley. Michael Oliver, who drove in 3 runs, Danny Hughes, Sam Hojnar and Connor Graefen had 2 hits apiece. Graefen also had 2 RBI. Reliever Vinny Abruzzo notched the win. Jackson Gray homered twice and Connor Olson had 5 RBI for Wheaton North (17-10, 13-6).
Metea Valley 12, Glenbard North 8:
The Mustangs (15-12, 14-10 DuPage Valley) notched their fifth straight win after building a 7-1 lead. Jake Kmiecik and Jason Kirchner both homered while Andrew Cronin went 4-for-5 with 2 RBI. Matt Bergin was the winning pitcher in relief. Dom Rotondo went 2-for-3 with a homer and 5 RBI for Glenbard North (7-19, 2-17).
