Blackhawks coach casts some doubt on Crawford's return this season

It's beginning to look like Corey Crawford will not play again this season.

Coach Joel Quenneville paused for 2 to 3 seconds when asked if he was optimistic about his No. 1 goalie playing again this season.

"Umm. Umm. I'm going to say right now we'll see on that one," Quenneville said. "Before we were."

Crawford has been on injured reserve since Dec. 27 with what is believed to be vertigo or concussion-related symptoms. He participated in parts of morning skate at Arizona on Feb. 12, but has not returned to the ice.

Quenneville said that the Hawks basically being out of the playoffs "might be part of" why Crawford would not return.

"But once he gets healthy, then that'll be the next decision."
