Lauren Rohr is a 2015 graduate of the College of Media at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she earned a bachelor's degree in journalism. She covers the villages of Carpentersville, East Dundee, West Dundee, Algonquin, Sleepy Hollow and Hampshire. During the summer of 2014, she was a Daily Herald editorial intern, covering various news, spot news, feature and Neighbor stories. While in school, she was actively involved with The Daily Illini, the independent student newspaper. She was the news editor and in her senior year she was managing editor. She lives in the Western suburbs.
