School board's bad faith bargaining behind District 15 strike

I now understand the 10-year teacher contract in Palatine Township Elementary District 15. What reasonable person wants to go through this nonsense every three years?

If this school board cannot negotiate a successful contract with paraprofessionals who make such a small salary, how could they possibly negotiate a successful teachers contract?

Strikes are ugly. Neither side comes out unscathed. This strike is not about saving taxpayers money. It is about a stubborn school board flexing their muscles and refusing to negotiate in good faith. There are no winners, and the whole community loses.
