Northbrook police conducting death investigation after body found in parked car

Northbrook police are conducting a death investigation after a woman's body was discovered in a parked vehicle Saturday afternoon.

According to police, officers located the body in the vehicle's driver seat at about 3:40 p.m. in a parking lot at 933 Skokie Boulevard. There were no apparent signs of trauma, police said.

The body, which has not been publicly identified, was taken to the Cook County medical examiner's office, and an autopsy is pending.
