Small trailer home fire displaces resident
A small blaze inside a trailer home early Thursday morning in Des Plaines displaced the single occupant of the residence, fire officials said.
Firefighters were dispatched to the fire on the 1300 block of Rand Road about 12:45 a.m.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, Des Plaines Fire Department officials said. The lone occupant of the trailer home was outside the residence when firefighters arrived and was ultimately transported to an area hospital for observation. The condition of the resident is unknown.
The fire left the trailer home uninhabitable, fire officials said.
