Ghost stories plus at Volo Bog natural area
Registration is open for the 34th annual Ghost Stories Plus from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Volo Bog State Natural Area, 28478 W. Brandenburg Road, Ingleside.
Storyteller Anne Shimojima will tell scary tales from the U.S., Europe and Japan from 7 to 9 p.m. Bog tours will be given from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Other activities include the haunted woods walk, doughnuts, cider and goodies.
Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for children (minimum age 5) on arrival, cash or check only. Reservations are required at www.friendsofvolobog@illinois.gov. Visit dnr.volobog@illinois.gov or call (815) 344-1294.
