Gurnee church to host conversation on homelessness

Immanuel Church in Gurnee will host a multi-organizational community conversation event on homelessness and panhandling Tuesday evening.

According to the village of Gurnee, the dialogue will offer residents a chance to learn how panhandling and homelessness are interrelated with other chronic social service crises. The event will be led by officials from the village of Gurnee, PADS Lake County, Community Partners for Affordable Housing, Lake County State's Attorney Mike Nerheim and the Lake County Health Department.

The event will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Church, 2300 N. Dilleys Road in Gurnee.
