Senior Resource Fair Tuesday at the Palatine Public Library

Residents of the Northwest suburbs can find a variety of resources provided by state agencies, nonprofits and local care providers at a Senior Resource Fair 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at the Palatine Public Library, 700 N. North Court.

Participating groups include the Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Citizens Utility Board, League of Women Voters, Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council and others. "I'm looking forward to our first senior event," said the sponsor, state Sen. Ann Gillespie, a Democrat from Arlington Heights. "I want to make sure that my office is a source of information and help for our community." Voter registration, health and nutrition services, and transportation solutions are the featured services offered at the event.
