Car catches fire on I-94 near Gurnee

No one was hurt when a vehicle caught fire on I-94 near Gurnee Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

Fire responded to the scene, just south of Grand Avenue, at about 3:30 p.m. after the driver of the vehicle heard a loud noise and smoke started showing from under the hood, according to Lt. Ryan Lee of the Gurnee Fire Department.
