Hello to some, farewell to others at Barrington village board meeting

Hellos and goodbyes will be part of Monday's Barrington village board meeting. Incumbent Jason Lohmeyer and trustees-elect Kate Duncan and Emily Young will be sworn in for four-year terms during the board session that begins at 8 p.m. at village hall, 200 S. Hough St. Part of the meeting also will recognize and honor Trustee Jim Daluga, who's been on the village board since 2003 and did not seek re-election in April; two-year Trustee Ryan Julian, who must depart after falling short in the election; and Village Manager Jeff Lawler who is retiring from a 44-year career in Barrington that also included serving as police chief and a patrol officer.
