Vehicle stolen in Addison chased from Arlington Heights to Chicago's South Side

A man driving a vehicle that was reported stolen in Addison led authorities from the Northwest suburbs to Chicago's South Side early Monday, according to Chicago Police News Affairs.

Arlington Heights police were following a red 2014 Cadillac CTS-V until it went onto eastbound Interstate 90. At that point, the Illinois State Police got involved and Chicago police were notified, authorities said.

Later, Chicago officers saw the vehicle on Union Avenue and the driver fled south, according to News Affairs.

The driver lost control of the vehicle while trying to travel west on 63rd Street, striking an electrical box on the 700 block of West 63rd. The driver tried to run but was caught after a short chase around 2:30 a.m., authorities said.

Police said no one was injured and charges are pending against the driver.
