Dist. 50 seeking nominations for Gurnee Teacher of the Year

Gurnee-based Woodland School District 50 is seeking nominations from the community for the next Gurnee Teacher of the Year.

The teacher must work at Woodland, Gurnee Elementary District 56 or Warren Township High School. The winner will receive a plaque and a check for $1,000 and will be formally recognized at a village board meeting in May.

Nomination forms may be filled out at dist50.net/gt. Paper forms are available at each district school and the Educational Support Center, as well. Nominations are due Feb. 1, and the winner will be announced in April.
