Vigil for transgender community in Buffalo Grove Thursday
A "Vigil of Remembrance" for the transgender community will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, at the Buffalo Grove Community Arts Center, 225 McHenry Road.
Sponsored by the Pinta Pride Project, the vigil will feature a speech by Suzanne Sabransky, a Buffalo Grove resident and transgender community member, followed by a question-and-answer session will follow.
The event is free, but donations are encouraged. The Pinta Pride Project was established in September, to increase LGBT+ awareness within suburban communities and organize an inaugural Pride celebration in June 2019 in Buffalo Grove.
