Northwest suburban police departments to take back unused drugs

Several suburban police departments will accept unused and unwanted prescription drugs for disposal Saturday as part of the Drug Enforcement Administration's Take Back program.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., law enforcement agencies will collect pills and patches - but not liquids or needles. The service is free and anonymous with no questions asked.

Police departments participating in the Northwest suburbs include: Arlington Heights, Barrington, Buffalo Grove, Des Plaines, Elk Grove Village, Harper College, Mount Prospect, Palatine and Rolling Meadows.
