Huntley library launches new app for Apple, Android devices

The Huntley Area Public Library has launched a new and improved app for patrons using Apple and Android devices to access materials, information about activities and other resources.

Patrons must update and delete the existing library app by Sept. 13 when it will cease to work.

With the new app, patrons can search the library's catalog in real time, place holds, checkout, renew, and access digital content. They also can register for programs, classes and events.

The app features library information, including location (11000 Ruth Road), directions and hours of operation, allows members to link their Goodreads accounts to the app and share lists, and is integrated with Amazon Echo and Alexa devices. A digital version of a member's library card is available in the app, which also supports multiple library cards allowing families to manage all their activities in one place.

The app is available in the Apple App and Google Play stores. Find other library apps to access free e-books, digital magazines, music streaming and downloads and language learning at huntleylibrary.org. Digital services can be accessed 24 hours a day.
