League of Women Voters meeting at Palatine brewery
League of Women Voters of the Palatine Area will host a drinks and discussion program Tuesday, July 17. The chat on "Townships and Taxes, What You Don't Know," will be at 7 p.m. in a downstairs room at Emmett's Brewing Co., 110 N. Brockway St. in Palatine. Featured will be Shannon Sohl, senior research associate at Northern Illinois University's Center for Governmental Studies, and Norman Walzer, a senior research scholar working with Sohl, will be the featured speakers. Those who attend can have one free beer or soft drink.
